CBCT

    Cone Beam Computed Tomography also known as (CBCT) is a diagnostic imaging system that provides the endodontist with high quality, and acurate three dimensional representations of the maxillofacial skeleton.
    Radiographic imagining in endodontics is important in the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of the patient.  The CBCT is performed by using a rotating gantry, providing a x-ray and detector which are fixed.  Within a single rotation, the CBCT provides precise, immediate, and accurate 3-D radiographic images for the doctor, and his patients.  The technology of the CBCT also allows the endodontist an unparalleled visualization of the usually complex relationships between the teeth and their anatomic features, such as the maxillary sinus, the mandibular canal, and the foramen.

    The single most important advantage the CBCT gives the endodontist is
providing anatomic features in three dimensions that panoramic and intraoral
